I work within a client team assisting other quantity surveyors on a framework, which entails emailing customers and project managers, as well as ensuring the online contract tool CEMAR is up to date with relevant information.
I have developed my communication skills from speaking to clients, as well as my english skills from sending emails.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, I receive support from my work as well as my training provider. This is essential to progress in my career.
My programme is structured well, allowing change depending on my goals and university modules. My client team and my colleagues are flexible in the way I work to ensure I receive the best experience.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, there are many people to talk to if there ever is an issue. They listen and help come up with solutions to the issues.
I receive support from my training provider as and when I request, from module tutors to the apprentice outcomes officer.
Due to working in a team of quantity surveyors, it is essential I engage in my qualification to allow me to develop. Although some modules may not be relevant to me currently, in the future the knowledge will allow me to work within different teams and environments.
