My role involves dealing with both private and institutional clients and the day to day management of their rural estates. I do the property management for let properties, deal with tenancy matters and liaise with contractors, tenants and clients whenever necessary.
I have developed my communication skills in ensuring the client is kept up to date with all actions. I have also developed my budgeting skills when assisting with drawing up yearly budgets.
I very much enjoy the programme, but do struggle at times to balance the apprenticeship assignments and workload.
I attend lectures at harper adams for each module in weekly blocks. This allows me to draw out full weeks from work and manage my workload.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and we have apprenticeship meeting with the representative from Harper every few months. This allows us to check in with my progress and workload.
The lecturers are very cooperative when I have emailed to ask questions outside of my learning week.
I am provided with knowledge that directly applies to the workplace.
Yes I have participated in the office cricket team, done a sponsored walk and play padel with colleagues every Tuesday.
Yes
Savills have been very supportive in not only balancing my apprenticeship studies with my workload in the office, but also providing structured training towards passing the APC.
I would say that Savills value good communicators and people who are willing to go the extra mile so these attributes should be promoted.
