My role as an apprentice means not just studying but learning on the job. I am able to learn the practicality of working in an early years setting. On a day-to-day basis, I observe staff, complete tasks given to me, set out activities for children, safeguarding etc.
I have developed on my skill of patience. Children at young ages tend to take longer to do something than others and I have learned that giving them a bit more time to take in what is going on helps with their development.
I enjoy my program very much. My tutor is very kind and helpful and I am grateful to have been given such an opportunity in my life. Thanks to the kindness of the company, I am able to achieve a lifetime goal of mine.
My programme is highly organised. I am set specific tasks over a course of time which link to the same subject in order for me to complete an assessment. The company are very helpful and positive, even if things aren't always going the way I would like them to.
The employer that hired me in currently on maternity leave, however I receive lots of support from my current manager until the employer is back. When I feel the need to ask for help, I will always go to my manager knowing that she will be there to support me.
My training provider supports me whenever I need her to. She will always be there to support me and help me to expand my knowledge. I am very grateful for this.
By doing my qualification, I have learned so much more than when I did when I started working here without an apprenticeship starting. It was the hardest month I had endured here, not just because its my first job, but because I wasn't receiving the full support I needed.
I'm unsure of this as I have never asked about it. There have been opportunities to attend groups to help broaden and expand the knowledge of all staff however I have not attended.
Yes
I would recommend the company because they have supported me throughout my whole experience here so far. Without a doubt, they are a wonderful company who will always provide support.
I would suggest to be open and honest. If you are applying as an apprentice and have no experience tell them that! They will be completely understanding for you. And don't forget to tell them why you want to work there, even if you sound silly, you want to have an open, honest conversation.
