My role as a Talent Engagement Partner involves completing the vetting for candidates of British Council. We have to verify their ID via Teams, check their right to work, obtain their references from the past 3 years and make sure they are suitable for the job role they are applying for.
I have learnt various new skills, prior to starting this role, I have no experience in this sector. I have learnt how to use spreadsheets and CRM systems needed in my role. My organisation skills have improved massively as we have a high work load at all times and need to use our time wisely.
I am really enjoying the apprenticeship, I have learnt lots about Business Admin that I had no knowledge of before. My leader is really helpful and always has time to answer any queries I have. The live lessons are extremely helpful and informative, as I learn better through someone teaching, they help me lots.
The programme is really well organised, we have a set amount of assignments due each month that need to be completed. We also have live lessons each month where our trainer teaches us on a Teams call for at least an hour. However, if we do fall behind. the trainer is very helpful and understanding.
We receive a lot of support from our employer with the programme. They allow us 6 hours a week to complete the work, we can either use it all in one day or break it up into separate days, depending how we work best. They also help us with the work if we struggle.
Our trainer, is extremely helpful and very supportive. He is always free to answer any questions I may have or to go through an assignment with me if I am confused. He is also very good at teaching via the live lessons and helps me to understand the work.
Even though my role isn't in business admin, I do feel like the apprenticeship has helped me to thrive in my role. It has taught me skills such as organisation, time keeping and it has also increased my business knowledge as prior to this role, I did not have much business experience.
As we work remotely, our company makes sure that every 3 months, we all go into our London office as a team, to work together in the day and go out together afterwards. This gives us the chance to catch up with our colleagues and spend quality time together as a team.

Guidant Global is an incredible company to work for, they value their staff so highly and treat us all with so much respect. We are the heart of the company and the leaders ensure our quality of work life is great, which improves our motivation and makes us excited to work in our role.
If you would like to work for a company that respects its staff and values them, then Guidant Global is an excellent company to work for. They always ensure its staff are happy and supports them in what they want to do. I love working for this company and would highly recommend it.
