My main responsibility is to order products like desktops, monitors, pcs, and laptops. I am aligned to a customer account which means I am placing orders for their employees. The ordering process happens through our internal software called OneTouch. Orders are left on one touch for me to pick up and process.
I have developed on my IT skills, communication skills and social networking.
This programmed has really helped me with my professional portfolio as we have received training on how to socialise formally, email etiquettes and office etiquettes - all things which i would not have learnt if i had gone to university.
It is well organised as we have an allocated day per week for our studies however it can get stressful when deadlines are tight or too many tasks are allocated for the same day. This can be dealt with easily though by messaging our learning mentor.
There is help on our internal portal but niche topics can be harder to access.
When asking, we do receive support from our learning mentor but ultimately we are left to do our work independently.
Our end point assessment is regarding project management which will help us perform better as we do not get experience to do this in our role. This is because our role is more focused on sales.
Yes there are many social events but it is not entirely inclusive as most of them are to do with drinking which i do not do. Other than that, the events are a nice opportunity to network and get to know customers, vendors and partners.
Yes
It helps alot with character development and there is support available to help with personal growth too.
Use the star technique in interviews and definitely do research beforehand!
