I work within the operations department at Christies supplying business support to collogues across Europe. This support includes creating client contracts and shipment details to transfer items across our Christie's sale site.
Networking, Presenting confidentially and collaboration
I enjoy working in my department due to the friendly and welcoming staff. But I also thoroughly enjoy working for the company as a whole due to the events and auctions I have been able to experience. This has given me an exciting insight into the art industry.
My programme is balanced out between department work but also apprenticeship work. However, this balance fluctuates depending on the busy seasons within the company, when there is multiple sales within a short period of time.
My manager and members of my department are very hands on when it comes to both my training but also making sure I have a positive mindset or wellbeing. They are all very encouraging when it comes to approaching new tasks and opportunities.
I have a monthly catch-up with my apprenticeship coach and a monthly module call with my whole training provider cohort. In this call we go over the learning and resources for our next module.
Through Multiverse I have learned many new data orientated points which I have transferred into my work excel spreadsheets and tasks.
There are regular events that are held both across the company but also within departments to encourage networking and collaboration,
