  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves coming into work, logging on to the phones and completing tasks such as digital deals, emails, admin, facebook posts, call out lists, chasing up enquiries, dealing with queries, speaking with customers, taking payments, finding holidays, answering the phone and providing customer service.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot! I have a really supportive apprenticeship team and it is really fun, I love all of our apprentice tasks and I love to write so it is really brilliant. It is difficult to be doing the same role on such a low wage in comparison to those who just join the team and do not go through any apprenticeship or anything especially when completing the exact same work as my colleagues and apprentice work on top of this, but I understand that this is set by the government and not specifically through the apprenticeship team.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I really enjoy how organised my apprenticeship coach is. She makes sure to schedule regular meetings with me and allows me to have enough time to complete all the work that I need to do, and gives me regular feedback with my work so I know how/what to improve on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My apprenticeship coach is really great at giving me work and gives me lots of support in answering questions when I need it. I get my green days put on the rota at work, I am not always able to take a full green day because of staffing but I do get support from my apprenticeship coach and this is great

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Absolutely loads! I love it. I feel so supported by my training provider and my apprenticeship coach does so well at making sure I have feedback and how to address anything I could tweak to make my work of better quality. I get lots of support and review meetings from my coach and this really helps.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me to better perform by understanding the things related to the travel industry and how this can be met. I learn about different things in the industry that aren't necessarily related to my role and this is so helpful if I was ever thinking about joining a slightly different part or sector.
