I perform various tasks such as putaway and replen on an MHE. I also do some office admin work such as inputting information on to our in house system. I also provide cover for team leaders when they are off work
I have learnt a lot in regards to whats involved in doing the team leader role. I've learnt about organising staff and how such things as the KPI figures are worked out.
I enjoy learning now things and processes and also putting into practise certain things that I've learnt from doing the apprenticeship
I get given sufficient time each week to complete the work required for the modules. My team leader and shift manager like to get involved in helping me complete the work
I get support each week from my team leader and also my shift manager like to know what I need to do to complete each module and gives me support to do this
My training provider is excellent. Even though I work nights my mentor always makes time for me during the day if and when I need the help
It gives me more of an understanding as to how the team leader role works. I can then put into practise a lot of what I've learnt already and continue to learn
If there are any charity events at work I like to get involved with them
Yes
When working for Toolstation I've found that if you want to progress within the company and are willing to put the work in then they will always support you
If you want to progress within the company be prepared to put the hard work in and always take the rough with the smooth
