I'm an audit trainee assisting with the audit team on various clients operating in different industries. I am responsible for auditing simpler sections of the balance sheets; cash, fixed assets, debtors etc and performing several tests to ensure balance is correct
As part of my qualifications, I have to complete several assignments which have taught me to write various reports, perform presentations and develop certain soft skills, particularly effective communication
Every employee is very approachable and willing to help, regardless of their position. Keen to congratulate and reward successes as well as eager to progress your career and ensure you continue to develop. You are given a lot of responsibility early on, which is very fulfilling and rewarding
No matter what your level, you are rewarded for successes and appreciated from all.
From the start you are given a timetable of your program, dates of exams and when assignments are due. Study leave and college dates are organised well in advance and job bookings are planned months in advance
BPP provide a great amount of help before, during and after college providing several resources as well as online help and being available to discuss any issues
When you start you are assigned a 'buddy', an informal relationship with a colleague who is the first port of call for any issues and problems. You are also given a counselling manager who assists with all your exams, assignment and your development. Regular catch up meetings are held with both to ensure you are on track and are doing ok
Considering I still live at home with little bills, my salary more than covers my costs
Both departmental and office socials are frequently organised in order for you to meet fellow colleagues and build good working relationships. Several networking events are also held with similar firms so you can meet others in same positions, and regular football and netball games are arranged, some for charity
Yes
As mentioned above, all employees are very easy to work with, you are given a lot of responsibility early on and your training program is organised very well with more than adequate support provided.
Be confident, show you are keen and enthusiastic and research the company and your stream well before your interview
