My role involved assisting the Hotel Manager ensuring compliance with sanitation, hygiene, health and safety legislation and organisational and quality requirements and working policies and procedures.
Yes, I’ve learned many new things since I started in this new role, like payroll management, Employee relations, F& B compliance, among others
I enjoy the program although sometimes is hard to manage the apprenticeship while working full time in the hotel, sometimes long hours of work don’t allow me to dedicate fully to the activities in the apprenticeship
It is well organised, we have our platform that allows us to see the activities in a calendar plus all the courses completions
I receive help when I need, when the manager is not around there is always information in our organisation platform (Sharepoint) or our Academy Online available.
We speak every couple of months via zoom to review how I’m doing and review different subjects from the course. I have the contact details in case I need additional support.
Gives me more confidence on my day to day job
Great Ormond Street Hospital marathons or charity walks for the employees of the company
Yes
It’s a big company with a lot of opportunities for development, courses and perks. With many different locations for either Hotel careers or F&B related ones .
To start with their Academy Online courses as soon as possible to get the hang of their job duties, the courses and the videos are very complete.
