On a day to day basis I take care of vulnerable adults with their daily needs ensuring all their needs and wishes are met. I deal with family's aswell ensuring they are happy with the care their loved one is receiving and they are enjoying the last year's of life in our care
I have gained new maths and English skills thanks to paragon and gained more understanding of my role with my n.v.q alongside this I have learnt that the task may be the same but each person likes it done in their own way, I have leant to see a person as an individual even if the health condition is the same as another's.
I enjoy the programme I do very much,I have a better understanding of my job role and the people I work with, for and take care of. I feel a great sense of achievement when I completed a piece of work and receive praise and feedback from my tutor for the work iv done
The programme is very well structured it is easy to understand and follow. Speaking to your tutor is simply a message away and there's also the paragon team themselves who are also just a message away. Tutors and the paragon team are very fast to reply and assist with any of your needs not just questions about work set but also any problems with uploading or technical issues.
My employer is amazing and fully 100% behind me ,she always asks how I'm getting on and if i need any help, she asks what piece of work I'm doing and to see what entry iv made when my work is complete and always interested in the feedback I get from my tutor.
My training provider has been a great help, when I first started I had alot of problems with loading and uploading work. Despite how many times i got intouch and asked the same questions or had the same technical issues the paragon team were always happy to help and solve the issues I was having.
I feel the programme I am doing has help me more than I could say, I see my role in a totally different way,not just with the care I provide but with the people I meet who visit the work place, the people I work with and their responsibility and the building itself and how safe it is for others
We have monthly staff meetings where we are able to put forward any ideas that might improve how we work or improve the home ,outside of work we have a meet up every six moths where all staff attend and enjoy themselves ,we do things like crazy golf, bowling a meal
Yes
A excellent place to work ,your always made to feel valued. The manger is exceptional she goes beyond her role to make sure everyone in the building is happy not just staff but residents aswell. You are always pushed to achieve more and progress in your role . Our homes moto is we are family and it does feel like that .
Be yourself and willing to improve and strive, you must be a happy, bubble person who's willing to work in a team and alone . You must be willing to have another family who you will stand up for despite the risk of upsetting others and always put there needs first
