Ensure legislative and qualitative standards are adhered to by coop food products, assessing suppliers for compliance. This involves visiting stores and factories to expand on my learning, and also liaise with buyers, product developers and the policy teams to ensure all products are of a high quality
My technological, professional and personal skills have developed massively in my time at coop, all while my existing knowledge and passion for food has progressed even further. I am always learning at uni and at work and this all focusses on my personal progression
I heavily enjoy my programme as it has allowed me to develop in a career in which i previously thought was unavailable to me. At times the modules challenge me, but this shows the variation of the degree i am participating in
The structure is generally well organised. Staff are very approachable and willing to help, however there are some teething problems at the beginning of the course which was confusing for some.
I participate in regular meetings with my employer to ensure my needs for my course are met. This also allows me to express any concerns I have over my job, meaning I always feel fully supported.
If one takes responsibility for ones role in the course, Sheffield Hallam staff are always extremely keen to help out. This can be problematic if the student remains quiet however.
Although only early into my degree, i can already see the fruits of my labour. I feel more comfortable and passionate to work and collaborate at wor, all provided by the knowledge encouraged by the degree.

The environment, staff and values are ones i think everyone should be proud of. I think it is a fantastic place to work, only encouraged by the staff in place to support.
Be willing to put yourself forward for anything, be patient, but don't hesitate.
