I have the role of sorting out cutter guides and find new innovative ideas for our products at Mr Kipling. This involves working with suppliers to help the company reach its potential ( during both production and on shelf). We have recently acquired fuel 10k so it was my job to help with the change of cutter guides to our format.
I have learnt many things when I have joined this company, for example, I have quite low confidence and this job has helped me be proud of the work I produce and able to show this confidence when discussing with our suppliers. It is defiantly a invaluable skill that I will always be grateful for.
I am enjoying it thoroughly. The tutors are very kind and approachable when I have any sort of query. They make the learning more fun and make me eager to listen about any topic they discuss. I have struggled with anxiety and they cater to my needs by letting me have extra breaks to prevent me from getting overwhelmed.
I have had a clear timetable set by the university and that allows me to make my time more flexible as I know what is to come. I think that they are very organised and get back to me quickly when I have an issue with any of the tasks set.
My company really champions when it comes to apprenticeships and push for us to have enough time to work and complete our assessments. They are transparent with their processes which helps me with my assessments.
I have only recently joined the course and they ensure that I am comfortable and are taken care of both in the university and in work.
It helps me analyse my role in a more professional format and understand the context behind each form of packaging. This has been key when thinking about new innovations and how to be more proactive when something goes wrong.
My job really pushes on volunteering work and ensure that we are giving back to the community. I am also becoming a apprenticeship ambassador to help spread awareness about apprenticeships.
Yes
The company cares and appreciates all of their workers and ensure their wellbeing is their highest priority. They offer so many opportunities to build on their job role and increase their knowledge. Not only this but they have high ethical practices and each process is thought out in a methodical way.
Don't be intimidated by the size of the company and your skill level. All of the workers are very kind and will make you feel welcome as soon as you step into the building. I would recommend anyone to take up a job with this company as it is surely the best one I have worked for so far and hoping to stay for as long as I can.
