I work in the security engineering to team to secure Funding Circle's perimeters at the web application security layer, whether that involves code scripting with Python or interacting with proprietary security tools, etc.
I have learnt a whole foundation of new skills, establishing both software development knowledge and practical security engineering applications.
It has been transformative, ensuring that my career change 'sticks.'
Very well thought through and designed, with responsive and helpful support and communication throughout.
Regular one-to-ones with my line manager, regular team meetings including social ones, as well as an open-door policy for impromptu questions, the level of support has been great.
Excellent support, my placement coach has been so supportive and helpful and has organised things with me every step of the way.
It is obvious that the Makers course is dynamically responsive to what is required in the workplace - I have called on many of my.learnings from the bootcamp section to help tackle placement tasks in a logical and rational way - Makers education is second to none.
So many! Work networks for women, diversity and inclusion, social activities with my team, charity fundraising, volunteer days and more.

It is a supportive and inclusive place to work, with great people and opportunities.
They are inclusive as an employer but expect a lot of capability or potential from you, so find out as much as you can about the company - there is a publicly-facing engineering blog, read it and use it to tailor your application.
