My role depends heavily on which team i am rotating in, and as a result i get a great variety of experience. This could be client meetings, preparing offers in negotiations, client reporting to inform decision making, strategic consulting or many other things.
Yes - i have developed a completely different understanding of the real estate market. I have honed my presentation skills in front of clients and high profile audiences, and i have learnt various important technical details such as how to use a plethora of different systems.
I really enjoy the programme, it gives me a great variety of learning and an opportunity to try lots of different things through different modules and rotations.
The programme is very well structured and all of what i need to do is very clear. The rotation process is a touch stressful but all works very well in the end.
I receive excellent support from my employer in all aspects of my course. Any admin or learning i need to do it made very clear to me, so i feel like i am fully capable of succeeding if i am willing to put in the effort
UCEM offer a lot of support in a variety of different guises to assist me throughout the programme, ranging from academic support to mental health and wellbeing
My qualification gives me a completely elevated understanding of the real estate industry and all the different sectors within it which i will need to operate in in the future. This gives me the confidence an knowledge i need to help clients on a day to day basis.
Yes, there is a whole variety. There are various networking events, especially with people my age through the graduate client development committee. There is a wide range of sporting options and i regularly play for the company football team. Team drinks and grad drinks form most of the social side.
Yes
Savills is an amazing employer - they give apprentices the opportunity to have regular and consequential client interactions rather than simply preparing work in the background. You get a great variety of work and opportunities to join a huge number of teams, giving you the best possible chance of finding the area of real estate which most interests you.
I would tell someone to throw themselves into as many different activities and opportunities as possible, as getting variety in the week is hugely important. This enthusiasm and willingness to try new things is key.
