My role is to repair and diagnose engines and parts, also auditing engines to make sure they are good enough for a customer to receive. Working and helping with containments and screening activities also.
I have leant many new skills and i am continuing to develop them. Communication i have improved a lot on as well as confidence in doing tasks and giving advice. My hand skills with tools has also developed again increasing my confidence.
I really enjoy my program, the college is good to attend and learn new knowledge. Then work is also enjoyable and it is good to work around good people who are very helpful and supportive.
With New college durham the programme is very organised we know what we need to do and for when and communication is also very good through work.
As much support as is needed, people are very willing to help with things if you ask.
The training provider will answer any questions that you have and can also help deal with problems at work if needed. 12 weekly meetings are also set up to review progress.
The qualifications provide a lot of background knowledge and experience to the situations that go on in the workplace, it also helps when going on courses through work.
There is a program called EEEC which is about helping the community there are also lots of different zoom call meetings that can be joined which are different social groups. There are also a few football 5 a side teams that play.

It is a company where you will be well looked after and develop lots of skills and knowledge to potentially gain a good career.
