I prepare personal tax returns for high-networth clients, I also prepare CGT returns and assist with the day to day admin required. I will often assist other colleagues with more complex tax matters as well.
I have learnt many new skills from this apprenticeship including lots of technical knowledge around tax and accounting principles and legislation. It has also helped me develop existing soft skills such as communication, teamworking and professional conduct.
I absolutely love being on this programme, it is engaging, informative and enjoyable, though at times it can be stressful trying to juggle work, education and personal commitments all at the same time.
The programme itself is quite well structured although there is a lot left to be desired in terms of organisation from the training provider - it often seems disjointed with a lack of communication between teams. This is counteracted by excellent organisation from my employer.
I receive as much support as I feel necessary which is excellent as it allows me to work within my own capabilities without feeling overbearing but equally knowing that support will be there when I feel that I need it.
There is a lot to be desired - as I previously said, it can seem disjointed with a lack of communication between the teams within the Training Provider. They definitely have room for improvement.
The qualification is instrumental to helping me perform better in my role through the technical knowledge it provides.
Yes, there are many social events, charitable work opportunities and professional networking events are held regularly.

The support from the wider team and the apprentice manager is second to none, the Firm cares about employees as individuals with many policies in place to make working as tailored to individual needs as possible and there is a great benefits package too.
Research the Firm and the role before you apply, be authentic in your interview as well.
