  • Day to day tasks vary based on the project I am working on. A typical day may involve progress meetings, site visits and carrying out tasks relating to CDM.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have massively developed my confidence and communication skills during this apprenticeship. I am encouraged to push myself out of my comfort zone on a regular basis so I am constantly improving.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship, I am given lots of opportunity to network with my peers and other more senior to myself. I am given the chance to work on a wide variety of projects to expand my knowledge.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • This programme is well organised, I constantly feel as through I know what I am doing, what is coming next and that others are able to guide me.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive plenty of support. My line manager is very approachable and always able to make time if needed. I also have lead of the apprenticeship programme that I can speak to if I have any issues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive enough support from university. They always answer my queries in a timely manner.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel my qualification is helping me at work. I am able to relate my learning to the work place, which helps me to write my assignments. I feel that my university work is helping me to reach out to others in the organisation to find ways that I can further develop in my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are regular events that are held. I have attended a few social evets that are very enjoyable. My team also has regular socials after work, which are also great!

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I think this is a great opportunity to learn. Everyone I have met has been more than happy to take time out of their day to further my development. Overall, AZ is a fantastic company to work for!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
  • From my experience, I think the best advice is to go to your interview prepared. Although there is a very relaxed environment during the interview process, you will inevitably miss out some details that could be important.
