An early R&D environment with a mix of lab and desk work - planning experiments, project meetings, learning more about the world of pharmaceuticals
My lab skills have flourished and I have been exposed to many skills not taught at university alone. My networking and social skills have also improved through career events etc.
I have enjoyed the great facilities present and being in the labs, either shadowing or working independently - I struggle sometimes to sit at my desk for long periods of time but the DISC allows easy catch-up with colleagues/ time to have a break
Yes
The environment the DISC gives is amazing - and the fact you gain invaluable industry experience whilst still earning a full degree on the programme is a huge selling point
Become prepared to the assessment day - know about the values at AZ as these are very relevant, not only in the assessment day but also throughout the apprenticeship
