Whilst I was in my role as paralegal apprentice, I assisted fee earners on client matters, attended client meetings, communicated with clients to arrange calls/request information, assisted client on-boarding, carried out legal research and more.
I learnt many skills during my apprenticeship. A big one was my telephone skills and my written communication skills. I absorbed lots of information from my colleagues and learnt from them.
I throughly enjoyed the work aspect of my programme but I wish there had been more clarity and support from the offset from our training provider. This did improve as we progressed however it made for a difficult start
The work aspect with Irwin Mitchell was brilliantly structured and organised. The study aspect was less so initially but did significantly improve throughout.
A lot, I received support whenever and however I needed it from my manager/team/apprenticeship manager.
A lot of the apprenticeship is independent learning with regular check ins from mentors/teachers etc.
studying my qualification meant I was able to learn skills which I now use on a daily basis in my current role.
There are regular events for everyone to get involved in.
Yes
