I pay invoices, make calls to clients and the DWP, complete file reviews, review and documents that we recieve to the office for clients.
I have learnt a lot. I knew very little about my department and what to expect when I started. I feel I know have a solid grounding and know what I'm doing
I really enjoy it. It can be hard to catch up on study if you fall behind but other than that it's good. THe Damar team are also super supportive and helpful with keeping it fun and keeping me on track.
It is incredibly well structured. Everything is broken down into 6 week modules with a detailed training plan of the entire course that is issued at the beginning. there are also regular group and individual coaching sessions to keep you on track and help you to understand the material and see what others are doing too.
I recieve a day a week for study and my employer deliberately gives me tasks which relate to my study to make sure I have any evidence I need. I also get help from my line manager with redacting documents. with the work aspect, I am regularly on call to the other paralegals on my team who offer me support and guidance with any tasks I am set,
We have 2 volunteering days a year, and my team go on quarterly socials as well
