TCM - Technology Control Manager I am responsible for Risk/Control/Audit management for the line of business which I support. This involves managing audit requests, and actively working with relevant parties. Driving the implentation and completion of risk and controls initiatives throughout my line of business.
My confidence has increased hugely. I have developed the skill to efficiently run meetings, and be able to confidently present to some of the most senior members of the firm. My Excel skills have developed, so I am able to write Macro's to remove manual processes, and increase the overal efficiency of our department.
It has been a great programme. From a job role perspective, you are viewed as an equal member of the team. The programme goes above and beyond your day-day role, and gives you great opportunties. One of which was that I was put forward to take part in the Round The Island race, which was a great opportunity.
Very valued. Within 18 months, I have gone from working with a team of 4 supporting 2 lines of business, to individually supporting 1 line of business. My responsibility is continuously growing, and I feel I am recognised for my work.
It is a very well structured programme. The initial process is a 2 week bootcamp to become familar with the other apprentices, and the basics of JP Morgan. From here you have a strong network, and a good mindset when entering the workplace. Once you're in the workplace, you have constant support, and are regularly involved in activities above and beyond you day job to ensure you recieve a good exposure across JP Morgan.
It is a good level of support. A weekly online session with the Training provider, with regular in person sesssions. This gives us the opporuntity to run through any issues during these sessions, or reach out to them inbetween these times with any questions.
Alot. Your manager is your first line of support, and they are very supportive of the apprenticeship programme, and being involved in additional activies. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]the apprenticeship organisers are constantly available for support aswell.
It is a reasonable salary for an Apprenticeship programme.
Yes. JP Morgan has multiple groups, sports teams, charity evens, schools engagement events and many more to get involved in.
Yes
It has been a great company to work for, and a great apprenticeship programme.
Definately apply. You'll be asked where would you prefer to work, but honestly, you'll never know what a job will be like until you actually try it!
