I am based on site day to day i go on site and manage and track the activities that are going on. I record everything in photos and keep it all logged in QA sheets which i do myself. I am site in on commercial, design and resident meetings weekly. I also help produce the 4 week look aheads as well. i keep daily site diaries as well
Definitely i am learning new skills all the time as i have never done something like this before. i have alo improved on my personal skills since working here
I have really enjoyed the programme so far, and look forward to my future at mace and all the things i will learn on all the different projects ill be part of
I believe it is well structured, for us i do think more information needs to go out to line managers as people with new line managers ( first time they have done it) have struggled
I receive a lot of support from my employer including my close team, the apprenticeship team, wider teams being invited to site visists etc
A reasonable amount we have regular check ins to see how we are doing and i also feel comfortable to go to them at any time with any questions or worries
I think it gives some more technical knowledge and its good if what you are learning relates to your project at that time. although at UNI we are learning a wider varity of subjects for example drawing on auto cad and legal and economics
there are social activities to get involved in, there are site visit opportunities, opportunities to help promote the apprenticeship programme, we have development sessions with all the apprentices as well in person and online
Yes
I believe they are passionate about us apprentices and want to help us learn and grow as individuals and they also help you do this by holding events, regular check in sessions and development sessions. I enjoy working with my team on site and i learn a lot. they are also an inclusive company that makes everyone feel comfortable at work.
to read into mace and to understand the business and their goals and behaviours. and to also have good amount of knowledge when it comes to the role your applying for. do some research on projects mace have done.
