My day to day role involves working with on market combination products to develop and maintain their functionalities for patients. I use CAD and simulation to support my work and present my findings to the wider team.
I have learnt complex CAD and design methods alongside FEA work and dynamic simulation. I have supported investigations with physical testing and have learnt how to comply with GMP and GLP standards.
I have learnt so much throughout the programme and have developed so many new skills. Everyday I am being challenged and stretched and have enjoyed every step so far.
My programme is well structured with a specific uni day each week consisting of lectures and tutorials. My work is well structured with a mentor and buddy for support.
My employer provides a significant level of support and helps me with university work alongside work projects. They are flexible in providing more time when uni workload is high and also challenging me to allow for further development.
My training provider helps me to learn the basics which I can then take forward to work and apply this knowledge to work based projects.
There are many social activities within the apprenticeship network. There are charity sports events, socials which involve various activities and also professional apprentice networking events. There are also social events within teams that occur fairly frequently.
