I am a project management apprentice, and my day-to-day involves a range of things such as assisting in administration tasks (involving updating spreadsheets, file management etc), attending meetings and taking minutes, engaging directly with clients, and completing uni work in my spare time.
I've developed my skills in a range of microsoft softwares, and I've developed my communication skills both verbally and in writing.
I enjoy my programme to a very large extent; just within my first 6 months I've been able to participate in a wide range of opportunities through not only my day to day job but also through volunteering, networking events, and site visits!
It's very well structured; I have an allocated day each week for uni, and then the rest of the week is spent working and completing uni work in my spare time. My semester dates and topics are established very clearly.
I receive lots of support; I am able to work flexibly, I always have the space to ask my line manager questions, and I am supported with prioritising my wellbeing.
I receive much support - we are given a wide range of resources to support us with assignments, and the module staff are always happy to answer questions or even arrange 1-to-1 calls for support. I personally have also been supported with access arrangements for my degree
My qualification helps me to have a better understanding of terms and practices that I observe within my day to day which is really helpful.
There are a wide range of social activities and events arranged throughout the year, both in the office and for apprentices in our cohort.
