I am currently in my 4th placement, each placement has been varied but I have learnt a lot about different mechanical systems, tools and how to strip down and replace components. Safety is a huge factor due to the environment I work in and this is extremely important to myself, my work colleagues and the company. The work itself is varied and I can either be installing equipment/systems, overhauling, correcting defects and also liaising with other departments to get the task completed.
The majority of the tasks I am doing is completely new to me as I have not had any experience in mechanics
I really enjoy it and I quite enjoy being able to problem solve to get the work done
For such a large company it is fairly well organised, I’ve been able to get lots of hands on experience and for me it’s been very structured
I know that if I need it my employer would support me 100% so I have no concerns there
100%
It has helped me to be able to gain knowledge and understanding about my role and about the industry I am working in.

Yes
Great employer, very supportive especially towards diversity and inclusivity. They will support any employee to be able to promote themselves
