I work in e-commerce, my day-to-day role consists on checking over the site and making sure everything looks and works as it should. I carry out visual merchandising (I.e sequencing) and content management (I.e changing banners / making sure the right banners are allocated to the right pages)
Yeah, technical skills such as SEO optimization and digital analytical skills .. as well soft skills such as communication
I enjoy it, but it’s very difficult and stressful so at times I do find it unpleasant
Organized to a certain extent, some of the units could be re organized to match the time of year (I.e having the largest assignments during peak in retail adds significant pressure). Also we’ve had a few lecturers swapped round last minute.
A lot of support
Good supports
In real life I can apply some of the content, however there have been units where even professionals within work have said that that level of detail and even some theories would not apply and over complicate day to day tasks
Professional networking events
No
My company have supported me with my degree, however there are many reasons why I would not recommend including 40+ working hours, little flexibility, lack of promotional opportunities and salary. If this is for Manchester uni / course, then I would recommend
Make sure you have good time management and motivation
