  • I am a design manager, on my day to day i work on site with a construction team and i work with the architects and subcontractors to coordinate the design.

  • yes i started in the construction industry with no previous knowledge or experience.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i really enjoy the programme i am on as i feel i am getting the best of both worlds. i am studying for a qualification as well as getting hands on experience in the industry

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very well organised structured with a great work life balance as well as a study day for uni. we also get a lot of regular training courses to expand our knowledge.

  • i receive lots of support, constant check ins and daily catch ups with my manager to help my progression

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • LSBU support me well. my lectures are knoelwedgable and i learn a lot of new skills such as Revit which i wouldnt be learning at work

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i take away new skills that i learn at uni and use it when necessary at work. it helps me to understand things better and see a new perspective to things

  • we have regular social activities/ networking events as well as being given the opportunity to attend external networking events for example the London Workspace Design Show

  • Yes

  • i feel valued and i feel like my experience is critical for people around me. i am constantly learning new skills and getting the opportunity to ask questions and put my ideas forward
