During my role I work along side team members to help on client projects. They guide me on what tasks I need to complete on a day to day basis, everyday is different. Working with various clients brings a great variety of work. I started to join client meeting within my first few weeks and then started to work on the field work for clients.
I have learnt how to build relationships with stakeholders and clients. I have developed on my existing time management skills and how to manage college work along side working. My presentation skills and communication skills have improved through learning how to build on them from workshops.
My programme is a great pathway to a long term career within consulting. I have developed a lot of new skills already and I still have 4 years left on my programme! The people I work with are great and working on various different tasks makes everyday interesting. Learning about how different businesses operate and how to solve different problems is great skill to have which can be carried through to a pathway within the finance industry.
My programme is very well laid out. In the first 2 years we complete a level 4 and then progress to work on achieving level 7 within the 5 years.
We have regular catch-up and discussions with managers and everyone is assigned a performance manager and performance leader who checks up on everything and checks we have everything we need. the support system is great and i feel very well supported.
We have monthly catch ups with our coach from the training provider. They discuss and help us with the tasks that get assigned and make sure we understand what to do and check on our wellbeing.
The qualification helps us to learn critical skills we need in order to carry out our job. For example in a workshop we completed it helped us to learn how to build resilience skills which can be used when facing difficult client situations.
Yes there are many events going on all the time. There are different society's you can join from tennis clubs to religion clubs. We have many networking events across the firm, these help apprentices to meet with higher stakeholders.
Yes
Its a great firm to be apart of. There isn't just one set pathway you have to take you can join different teams and develop your own career learning new things all within the same company. There are so many opportunities and the people are amazing.
You can never over prepare. Research about the company values and understand how they relate to how you work. Know the course you are applying to and most of all be yourself in the interview!
