I am a pension administrator so i deal with the day-to-day activities in running a pension scheme. This includes calculating retirement quotations, updating member details and sending out mailings to members.
I have become a lot more confident talking to people, through talking a lot with colleague and handling many calls with members. I have also become very proactive in my work and always looking for ways to improve.
I have enjoyed the programme quite well, but it did become quite a bit more stressful when going through gateway.
Up to gateway the programme was very structured and went well, but when i entered gateway it did become a little bit messy and less organised
I received a lot of support from my employer which helped a lot. and continue to receive support on a daily basis.
I have received quote a lot of support from the training provider by having quarterly meetings with them to go through my work and go through preparation needed for the EPA.
To obtain the qualification needed, the training provider have assigned us a number of case studies to write to describe our experiences in various situations. This has helped me a lot as the qualitative aspect helps me when writing emails and letters internally and externally.
There are many extra-curricular activities that occur on a frequent basis and that i have been involved in. This includes a quiz/karaoke night, football tournament/ sessions, pub nights and poker (not for real money)
