As a housekeeper it is my role to ensure cleanliness of the hotel and ensure brand standards. I maintain the rooms and corridors for customers.
Yes I am now chemically trained and also fire safety trained . I also have first aid training and have done management training.
I enjoy the flexibility of the programme, I can choose when to do the modules which fit around my family life . I like I have my advisor who I can talk to if needed.
It is well structured along with flexibility, I have deadlines to do the work but also flexibility to do it how works best for me.
My line manager has been great with helping me get extra training and learning. She is very supportive and asks if I need anything extra and checks in with me.
My training advisor has been great, I can contact her when I need help and she is fantastic for giving me confidence to do what I need to do.
I have learned so much through the apprenticeship it helps me in my daily role as I know more in depth about my department which means I can help out more and it has helped me in future progression for my career.
Although we don't have any social activities we do all stay in contact as we are good friends in and out of the workplace.
Yes
There is good team morale which is good for social and mental health. The job is flexible for working families and offers good advantages into your career.
Its not as scary as it may seem, coming to premier inn is like joining a family. We help each other out and have good fun together.
