When on-site perform daily tasks on repairing and maintaining components brought in from different areas around site. Fault finding of components brought in and re-assembly of these components.
I have learnt very valuable skills when working in tata which can help me throughout my apprenticeship.
I enjoy the apprenticeship programme as I get to learn new skills everyday and every job I do is different.
The programme is structured well as there is a balance between college and working on-site so all work is not crammed together.
If I am struggling with anything my employers can help me with whatever I am struggling if that is work or different matters. They are always there to help.
There is a substantial amount of support from my training provider when in college on completing tasks and assessments that needed to be carried out for the qualification.
Doing my qualification helps me gain knowledge and skills that I might not learn on-site so this enhances my work.

Tata steel has a great apprenticeship scheme programme which will help you gain knowledge and skills in an engineering environment.
If you enjoy engineering, tata steel has a great apprenticeship scheme which balances out colleges and working on-site. It’s great for someone who is just getting started in the engineering industry.
