Managing relationships with our vendor partners. Managing commericials, supporting sales and managing marketing budgets
Yes I have improved my excel skills over the last year by practising daily using and making spreadsheets and learning formulas.
I love being able to learn and earn at the same time whilst meeting new people and getting experience in the working environment in such a great company.
I had a structured start into my apprenticeship where I was going on a rotation round all the category's in my department where I spent a month in each one to learn about all the functions that make up our overall department - this helped me to build my network as well as my knowledge.
I have support from all different aspects - ranging from Emotional support to work support. I have many different people who support me and I can go to, this can be people who are trained to deal with mental health support and there are multiple events to raise awareness for these kind of topics.
I have had support from our training provider when submitting projects and taking the training exams. I have always been supported in aiming to get the best grade possible.
I have learnt skills during my apprenticeship training which I have used in my day to day role like structuring emails, using the sales cycle, and cold calling structure.
Yes I have been to multiple networking events where I can grow my network and build relationships. I have also volunteered in the outreach events where I can promote our capabilities and apprenticeship schemes to students who are still at school and might not know some of the other routes after school.
Yes
I believe it is an amazing company, that I have learnt so much from. Having the experience in a company like Computacenter is a great start to a career and the ability to be able to move around internally within the company makes it feel as though you are working in different company's as it is so broad but you still have the relationships to carry through.
Even if you are not technical, there are many roles which do not have a technical aspect. There is a broad range of roles from relationship managing, finance, technical, hands on roles. There is a side for everyone so my advice would not be to ignore it just because it is an IT company.
