I do the SOM role as an apprentice at Computacenter. This means i do things such as place orders, give ETAs/PODs, and deal with customer query's on the outlook inbox.
I have learnt how to use SAP, One touch and JEP to complete Tesco invoices. I have also developed skills in networking due to various events that have been available to us.
I enjoy my programme as it allows me to constantly learn new things and meet new people.
Everything we do on a day to day is put in the calendar on teams/outlook, this keeps us well organised and structured.
I receive good support from my managers and employers, usually this is through multiple 1to1s that allow us to discuss how to apprenticeship is going.
I have consistent meetings with my training provider which helps me keep on track with my work.
We get to learn about topics that affect our daily work, because of this we are able to complete our tasks with these things in mind, whether its environmental regulations or GDPR regulations.
Our team has talked about setting up a 5 aside football team, apart from that I'm not sure.

Its a great introduction to a corporate role as they give you a gradual introduction that allows you to develop and learn. Also it puts you out of your comfort zone which is great for personal development.
Take every opportunity that is given to you.
