My role is infrastructure engineer, they help with building / supporting upgrading the infrastructure for projects in natwest. I have not yet done any shadowing etc so not 100% sure yet.
I have developed my people skills, learned a lot i didnt know about tech in general.
It has been split so far, the start was so quiet as we werent enrolled yet, then we had around a month / month and a half of just constant online learning, it felt very rushed and was given unrealistic timelines for some Other than this it is good.
The level 6 was rushed into a short period of time, if you were off for even one day then you fell behind and was constantly given 15 hour courses to do in 2 days which isnt realistic when its the first ever time reading this information so takes longer to take in. It has felt rushed so far but it seems level 8 will be much more organised and spaced out!
My manager has given me all the time needed to do my tasks
The training providers have hosted drop in sessions and answered any questions ive had
So far a lot of the courses wont really be used in my work from what i understand, however it is very useful to know and understand what others around me will be doing
Nothing that ive seen so far
Yes
So far i have enjoyed my time here, a lot of great people and everyone seems very passionate about their work
Get involved, make sure you are giving it your 100%.. It wont make sense when you start an apprenticeship.. but its worth pushing through it
