As an apprentice, my day to day focus is supporting my line manager with renewals that we have upcoming and any new business opportunities that might come our way. This includes correspondence with clients and insurers.
Developed my communication and conversational skills when it comes to presenting or just jumping on a call with clients/insurers. My organisation skills have also definitely improved as I begun to understand the importance of keeping on track with different emails and deadlines. I have also been learning the different systems and platforms that are needed to complete each renewal.
I have enjoyed my year and a half at WTW and definitely learnt so much in such a small amount of time. To even be able to earn my qualifications alongside has also helped massively when it comes to understanding new terms/processes that I'm having to get used to.
Very well structured which includes study sessions and a study day to take off each week.
My team and the apprenticeship team have been so supportive throughout my journey. Scheduled daily catch ups with my line manager and monthly ones for revision have been great.
We are given an outside sourced company who lead with the revision of each exam and also help with coursework. We get a great deal of support when it comes to studying for an exam, completing coursework, what to do if we fail an exam etc.
As mentioned above, it has most definitely helped me understand more niche word that are linked to insurance and allowed me to catch on a lot quicker.
There is an extensive list of sports teams throughout WTW (like netball), I have enjoy joining these teams and different social events with my team to represent WTW.
