  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a fraud advisor which entails a daily worklist of policies to validate by investigating, cancelling or contacting customers and third parties, I investigate operations and do admin such as calls and emails.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have only done one module so far so I cannot say, I have got a broader knowledge of fraud models and types and look at scenarios at work differently but I am very new to the course.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • So far I enjoy it very much my trainer is amazing she is very supportive and has been replying to my queries promptly and helped me with my first module massively.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So far it has been, the OTJs were a little grey at first as Im not sure my company realised it was in work hours so I struggled to get time off allocated in the first month, hopefully that will change going forward but the OFF the job was a little confusing to them as its On the job really.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As I said apart from the OTJ situation my employer has been very supportive I was added to a really useful meeting between insurers to shadow my manager, it is very early days but im sure they will support me all the way.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • So far one month in I have received an incredible amount of support from my tutor, she has been there to answer all of my questions and emails back promptly I received lovely feedback on my first module and feel very supported.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • So far I am yet to see any change as it has bene one month but I'm sure in time it will help hugely.

  • Yes

  • I feel like the part of the company I work in (fraud) are incredible they really look after their staff and I always feel heard and supported.
