  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My current role is as an Account Manager within Nestlé Confectionery looking after a Key Customer, my typical day could be looking at new promotions that I participate in promoting or creating trackers to delve into sales data from tills and online shopping.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of new skills on how to communicate with customers and how to create great presentations which can be externalised and promoted to large groups of people. I also have learnt data analysis skills and further critical analysis which I use on the daily.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme; it has been a fantastic experience meeting amazing people and the Academy team which looks after apprentices are incredibly supportive and are always willing to help if and when you need it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Our Scheme is broken into 4 different rotations where we swap around every 9 months, these job rotations are well structured but sometimes can come across as somewhat late notice, but the university course and modules are incredibly well planned, and we have dates planned until the end of 2025!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive fantastic support from the Academy team and my line manager, at Nestlé every employee is willing to help and have meetings with you to try and make your experience here better, this scheme has been going on for a decade therefore the teams are very well experienced.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider WildHearts/Coventry University are incredibly professional and are clear with their expectations from us, the course is quite vocational so there are more than just essays there are also some creative and vocal tasks which really interested me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification explores theories and scenarios that apply in our day-to-day work, our current lecturer from Coventry university is fantastic at relating our course to our normal work life and she is incredibly engaging and interactive.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At Nestlé there are social networks you can join to develop your extra-curricular side, network and make new friends, Nestlé also has other events such as sponsored runs and other events always advertised for anyone on any team to join.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • This apprenticeship has been life changing and has completely changed where I decided to progress my career, I originally was going to go to a Russel Group Uni but since getting my offer from Nestlé I will never regret coming here, it is such a positive environment, and everyone is so kind and patient.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Honestly, being authentic and your best self is the best way to succeed in your application, you should never try and fit the company as it is becoming incredibly obvious. If you present yourself with confidence and drive, you are destined to succeed here.
