My role involves contractural and financial management of rail projects.
I have learnt a lot about the construction industry, finance and management skills.
I do enjoy my apprenticeship and the college have provided brilliant support and guidance throughout my Level 4-6 programme.
The apprenticeship programme is very well structured, with set out weeks to attend university in Leeds. Our teachers are all very organised and the course itself is very well delivered, with content based on London south banks content.
My direct site team are very supportive and understanding whilst I am away at college/university studying, and allow me time to have the break from work and focus on my studying. My team attend my college related check in meetings as required and support me.
Leeds college of building and its staff have been very supportive throughout my time studying with them. The lecturers are great within the lessons and very engaging, and always available online when help is requested. This also extends to outside our set blocks, for additional support when revising and completely coursework.
My qualification, from level 4 through to level 6, has been invaluable to my role. At the start of the programme, I had never worked in construction before and it provided me with a great basis before starting work on site. Although not every subject feels relevant, it has provided me with a great background into many elements within the industry, for application at work.
BAM provide networking events in the form of commercial forums, roadshows and award shows.

BAM has been a great place to begin my construction career and Leeds college of building have provided a brilliant place to study towards my qualifications. My partner is in the industry, and in comparison to his provider, LCB go above and beyond.
