Marketing and Merchandising the Company's branded websites. This included manging pricing, setting up promotions and campaigns and suggesting new ideas in order to improve traffic and revenue to the websites. I also help with the Amazon seller account when needed by moving stock, allocating orders and ensuring prices are aligned.
Yes, I have learnt lots of new tasks including technology skills such as using Excel, as well as communication skills such as being honest about workload and speaking up if I need to delegate tasks to others. I have also learnt lots of job-specific skills such as how to navigate our platforms, set up promotions etc. These skills can be also be applied to outside of the workplace.
I completely enjoy my programme. I feel supported by both my employee and university mentor, and continue to learn new skills as I move further into the programme.
My programme is structured very well. I am given time in the workplace to work on my assignments and "Off the job" hours and also have the opportunity to work from home once a week when I have an assignment coming up. I am also not too overwhelmed by university that | have time to focus on becoming better in my job role.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. | have mentor meetings once a month and workflows once a week in which I can raise any issues if needed. I also can expand my hours working on uni from week to week if | need extra time to work on my assignment.
Quite a lot of support from the training provider. We have skills coach's which can help with any issues and can provide extra support on assignments if needed. Lectures/Unit leads can sometimes be hard to contact or have 1-1 time with if there is an issues with an assignment.
I think working towards my qualification really helps me by innovative in my role. Being at university sparks new ideas for projects/tasks that i can enforce in my job role. Especially when people have been in the same role for a long time, me bridging new ideas from my qualification can help to improve systems.
Yes, lots of extra activities. Around once a month we have a team social which usually includes a meal or games night. this helps us to switch off from work and help the team morale. We also have food vans once a month at work which are something to look forward to. there are sports activities such as a football team and a running club. I have also been sent on networking/training events to help me improve my work in my role.
Yes
Lots of work/life benefits. Getting a qualification along side of gaining valuable work experience.
Be confident in yourself that you can manage working full time and a university degree. The company give you lots of scope to work on yourself for promotions etc. Your age also doesn't affect you.
