I analyse real world data as part of a Disease Specific Programme working on Migraines and Multiple sclerosis, we work with our clients to deliver real world data on disease areas
New skills i have learnt include how to create and deliver a pitch, how to create an abstract, Skills I have developed include how to analyse data, how to work in a team, how to quality check work
I really enjoy the uni side of the programme and find the majority of the work side enjoyable
On the uni side i think the programme is very well structured but I think moodle can make finding what you need difficult, on the work side as the first apprentice the structure could be improved but its very much a learning experience for myself and adelphi
I received plenty of support from my employer and they are always available if I have questions, they also allow me time to complete my assignments and attend uni help sessions
My training provider for the assignment side of the course are very supportive and offer plenty of opportunities however there could be improvement on the OTJ and portfolio side
At my current role i have seen a minimal amount of transference, however as I reach a more senior/project manager role I have seen plenty of instances where the qualification can transfer over
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities we have work socials, sessions to expand our knowledge on areas such as delivering pitches or understanding other areas of the company, we have a football team and there are many events to celebrate the company
Yes
I believe the apprenticeship they offer is great and personally fits to my aspirations, the benefits could be improved and the location of the company isn't very accessible however it is still a good place to work. there is plenty of opportunities for promotion and extra learning, I think although the work focuses on medical data I think the job roles can be transferable to any sector.
I would advise anyone applying to have a look into the company, what they do and see if you have a genuine interest in the sector as the work can be intriguing
