I assist the teacher carry out daily roles to ensure each child is focused and engaged in the class. I support the kids one to one in any learning activities especially if they struggle to verbally communicate. In that case I would use a communication book to allow them to communicate their answers and anything else they need.
I have developed my communication skills up to a new level as I am able to communicate with parents on a daily, and other collegues about the concerns and achievements I have about a child and overall being able to speak to collegues who are older than me in a much more professional way.
I enjoy it a lot however being a permanent TA for the rest of my life is not my overall goal. I intent to be the teacher. I enjoy this programme a lot as it helped me meet more people and gave me an opportunity to show my hard work and dedication through my actions, not just exams.
It is very organised, schedules are made for meetings online in which I attend with my tutor. My daily assignments have a deadline…
My employers are great as they are very supporting, encouraging and motivating. If I have any struggles they are there to support me through it.
My training provider supports me a lot, they give me new things to learn each day and allow me to get to the best level by helping me with daily tasks.
I am given the support and help that I need to learn what I need to. By showing me how things are done, what I should and should not do, bringing me along when meeting parents… I am able to learn and get an insight as to how things work.
For the children there is not much however some do attend activities during half term at the school. For the adults there is not much to do apply from an after school workout session. This is a great opportunity for them to achieve their goal and have an overall fun time together as a team.
Yes
They were very supportive throughout my application and I recieved the best help I could’ve gotten.
Be ready for a long and steady process but be glad that you’re getting the best support ever.
