As an assistant accountant I start my day by checking my emails and answering any queries. I support with the month end close and complete my tasks that are allocated to me regarding prepayments or VAT reclass. I also support the AP team with reconciliation of accounts

I really enjoy my job and my course. I find studying the theory knowledge alongside working helps me grasp the learning a lot quicker and I can l connect what I have learnt to real life experiences and situations.
My programme is very structured. Everyone is very helpful and there are many people to communicate with.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and have good communication with them thorough my manager (who is very helpful)
My tutor from the training provider is very helpful. We have a weekly class every Thursday where we also address any issues or queries we may have regarding anything about the course.
The knowledge that I have gained and am still a learning towards through my qualification has helped me embed the background of accountancy. It’s helped me understand why different concepts are done in the role of an accountant.
We have many social activities like team dinners/lunch. We have monthly coffee calls and have social activity events aswell,
