Over the course of this apprenticeship I will learn to fit a variety of electrical systems and components. Over the course of my first year, I have been at city college Plymouth full time, learning the basics of my trade and building a rounded knowledge of the engineering world.
I have developed a deeper understanding of complex systems and work methods. I have also bettered my social skills as I must work with others on a variety of projects.
Overall I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I feel comfortable in my environment and I’m confident in my work.
The programme has a good complexity arc and my trainers push us in a supportive manner. I would prefer work that is more accurate to the environment but I believe that the skills we are learning are still relevant.
My employer is helpful in most cases and will provide assistance if needed.
My training provider has created an environment where I feel comfortable asking for assistance. I feel that am well supported in my journey to my qualification.
I feel that my training provider has performed well in keeping my training relevant and suitably challenging.
There are occasional activity’s but I am not able to attend as I am not able to miss any training.
