My role as a care assistant is to help people live a dignified and independent life at home.
Learned how to use bowel management equipment, hoisting equipment, learnt life saving first aid skills
My programme is very relevant and straightforward which is refreshing compared to very technical programmes available.
Extremely well organised, and structured well to complete easily.
My employer supports me when I need it, wherever they can. They check in with me regularly.
I have regular contact with my tutor and they are happy to support me if I am behind or need addition time.
It gives me better insight I to my role and helps me learn new ways to approach clients who need addition supports.
Due to my job, there needs to be staff on regular basis and so activities aren't always possible. But this is understood by all.
