Within fabrication i work with different types of metals whether that is sheet work or plate work. I form metal and do different types of welding
I have learnt how to use many different types of equipment like a hydraulic guilotine and i have done lots of welding which i haven’t done before
I enjoy being with my colleagues and have a good laugh with them. My instructors are also a good laugh and i get along with them well
My programme hasn’t been organised well at all. i didn’t have instructors for the first few months of my programme which had put me behind with my theory work. We have also just been set all of our one file (coursework) which puts a lot of pressure on us as there is a lot to do.
There are many people that we can go to for help and it is promoted to get help a lot
I receive a decent amount of support towards my qualifications
i believe that it has helped me to perform better in my role
No. Not that i am aware of or what i have been told
Yes
Because i believe that if it was a bit more organised i think it is the perfect apprenticeship for someone to apply for
make sure that the apprenticeship is for you as it is high demanding and you will be kept busy
