Extract, transform, visualise data and provide insight for audits. Working with stakeholders from across the organisation to help identify, control and mitigate risk. Provide assurance to the board. Creating reporting for board level, working with key risks. Building an AI capable function with experimentation of technology and embracing change.
I am on a machine learning journey. I have developed the capability to programme in Python, understand the foundation statistics models and how to utilise tools to deliver insights.
The programme is challenging and rewarding. I came in fearful that I will not be able to dedicate the time and resource to skill myself up but the support provided by coaches keeps me on track.
There are always areas of improvement. I would say it is fairly well structured with a level of virtual sessions and tasks to complete. It has been a challenge to complete some activities but that probably is due to my organisational skills.
My line manager has been very accommodating. He encourages me to continue on this journey and supports me when I struggle.
The support is available, I have the capability of reaching out for the support when and if I need it, including a data mentor as well as a success coach.
I am learning something new everyday. It is currently helping me identify opportunities to work better, be more effective at providing insight and supporting the business in being able to identify risk
I am involved in multiple initiatives and we have a vast array of communities which you can get involved with. We support diverse talent and are always looking at how we can do things better.

More recently I have been shown a side of Centrica which makes me feel proud and confident we are very serious about developing and providing equitable solutions for our people. I am a midpoint of my career and I am surrounded by good leaders.
