I am a rotating graduate currently in the valuation department. I help to value single residential properties. My day to day role can include viewing properties and measuring them then writing up reports and doing due diligence checks. In addition to this we will call agents that are familiar with the local area to help derive a value.
Yes, lots. I get lots of support. I have developed lots of competencies that i will use for my APC including that of measurement, inspection and valuation. I also develop my confidence and networking skills on a day to day basis and think that my report writing/ literature has improved also.
I love working at Savills i could not recommend it enough
Very well organised- i get one day a week at home to do my studying and if i ever need help that is work related i get it straight away.
They are briliant at providing me with support and help where ever possible
UCEM does help with any queries but it can take a while and occasionally i find the information provided through lectures hard to follow.
I think that certain aspects help, but equally I think some of it feels like a slight waste of time/ that I would not use it again. Equally, i have just started my job role in the last year so it may prove useful in the future.
Yes- lots. i do netball club
