As an account manager I work with several clients crating contracts and endorsements, whilst also using internal systems to set up premiums and input signings.
I have learnt lots about the insurance markets and the different types of insurances that is available. I have also learnt the roles of all the different jobs e.g brokers, underwriters and actuaries.
I have enjoyed learning about this new dynamic industry with so many different paths and directions that I could go down.
From my training provider I have a set learning plan which gives me deadlines and this helps me plan ahead and make sure I get all of the relevant work completed in time. I also have a coach which is always there if I need any help or have any questions.
My employers ensures that I have time for my apprentice work and always helps with any queries I may have around the content as many of them have completed the same exams so are able to help.
There is lots of support and I have a few different points of contact if I never needed help or guidance and they offer one to one sessions if you are struggling with a certain topic or concept.
Within my qualification I learn a lot about the insurance market and the role of brokers and underwriters which is very relevant to my role as a broker and it has helped me gain a further insight into the rules and responsibilities following this role.
I am part of a Next gen community where they arrange events such as meeting other apprentices in the industry from other companies.
