In my role, I have had the opportunity to complete a 10 week placement in all of the Central Finance teams. This includes: Banking, Credit Control, Billing, Processing, Query Hub, Payments and Central Finance Treasury Support . This variety means that my day to day tasks change quite a lot which has provided me with a lot of experience and knowledge.
Working at Savills has definitely improved my communication skills, from joining new teams and meeting lots of new people to communicating externally with tenants and clients. I have also learnt how to use different accounting software's.
My apprenticeship has been great and I have really enjoyed my experience so far. It has given my an excellent insight into the finance industry, specifically property management, and it has no doubt been incredibly beneficial to my career.
My apprenticeship has been very well structured. I have a college days every Tuesday with workshops set at specific times which helps to keep organised. I then attend work for the remaining days of the week.
I receive plenty of support from my employer. I have regular one to one catch-up meetings with my line manager to ensure that I am fully supported. I also have received high levels of training from my colleagues in each team I have worked in.
Train Together are great and provide excellent support. We are provided with many videos and tasks complete on all the relevant content we are learning as well as regular workshops where a tutor will go over what we have been learning the past week to ensure that we are not struggling.
I believe that the work that I complete as part of my qualification has benefited me and allowed me to perform better in my role. However, AAT focuses more on accountancy rather than finance as a whole and so some aspects of the qualification are not relevant to my role.
The office that I work in holds a quarterly social event for everyone in the office.
Yes
Savills has provided me with an amazing opportunity to excel in my career.
